During Spring term Pinders held the Primary Futures Event Part 2 - Can We Fix It? We were visited by a range of professionals and learned alot during the day. Below are some pictures from the different workshops we were involved in.
An electrician showed us how to strip wires and explained the purpose of each colour of wire - we used special insulated tools.
The Fire Service discussed fire safety and how to ensure our homes are protected.
Our project management and logical thinking skills were put to the test by Engie as we used wooden sticks to build tetrahedrons.
An architect showed us blueprints of our school build and we use our architectural skills to construct towers using spaghetti and marshmallows.
We listened to a story about building site safety and met the Conerad character.
Builders demonstrated how to lay bricks professionally - we even had a go ourselves!
The Police showed us the equipment and uniform they use and showed us how to safely contact the emergency services if needed.
Ambulance Service taught us about the recovery position and defibrillators among other useful tips.
