Rev Rob Drost - Vice Chair of Governors

I moved to Wakefield in September 2016 to take up the post of Methodist Church Minister at three Chapels: Kirkhamgate, Wrenthorpe and Trinity Wakefield. Trinity is just behind Pinders School. Before coming to Wakefield, I was the Chaplain at Sheffield Children's Hospital and Minister at Millhouses Methodist Church. I am a "JNC" Nationally Qualified Youth Worker and spent many years as a Manager at the children's charity "Barnardo's" working with Key Stage 4 young people who had been excluded from secondary school. I pop into school to take some assemblies and some of the classes come over to church at key festivals and to have tours of the building - some remember it from when they were in pre-school.

I am married to Rachel and we have 4 children. Our eldest has autism and is living in supportive housing in Rotherham. Our middle two are at University - one studying International Politics and the other Fine Art. Our youngest is in Y11 and heading towards his GCSE's. I really enjoy engaging with children & young people and am looking forward to seeing them grow and develop through the hard work of the whole school staff."
