General Reminders
Home reading is extremely important, try reading every day at home- even if it's for a short period of time each day as this will add up over the week and help to improve reading fluency. Reading regularly supports all aspects of learning by broadening vocabulary and imagination. Your child must read at home, and have their Reading Record signed at least 4 times per week. Every child will have the opportunity to read to a member of staff in class each week, where they will have the opportunity to ask and answer questions in order to improve their comprehension skills.

Homework is an essential part of learning; enabling good progress to be made. Children will be given a piece of Maths and English each week, alongside weekly spellings and compulsory reading (selected pages from ‘Wonder’). Homework will be set using the SeeSaw Application, which all pupil's have a unique code to log in with or in CGP text books.

P.E kits must be worn on PE days. Year 6's PE day for Autumn Term 1 is Monday

If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact Miss Burton, Miss Coleman or the school office.
