Spring 1's topic: Great Fire of London!
This term we will be focussing on the Great Fire of London, in particular looking at the diary of Samuel Pepys as a source of information. We will create our own 3D houses in the style of the 16th Century and draw detailed images of houses on Pudding Lane - where the fire is believed to have originated. Year 2 will also be writing newspaper reports about the fire and a story following the fictional story of Nelly whose father owned the infamous bakery on Pudding Lane.
As part of our science this term we will be looking into humans, what we need to survive, how exercise and a balanced diet are important along with the lifecycle of a human.
In maths this term we will be looking at division and measure, including mass and length.
