Autumn 1
Autumn 1's topic: Pirates!
This term we will be learning about Pirates - we will read about them, write our own Pirate adventure stories and we will create treasure maps for our hidden treasure. Year 2 will also be learning about islands and the different features on islands and how they are shown on a map.
As part of our science this term we will be investigating different materials, their properties and how different materials are more suited for specific purposes.
In maths this term we will be looking at place value and learning how to partition 2-digit numbers into tens and ones.
